Tornadoes to Tacos... this place knocked it out of the park! While traveling to Dallas Love, we had a flight delay due to a tornado that resulted in our group of fifty not getting into the airport until 10:30pm. Right before take off I called Marisol (the manager) and explained our predicament... and asked if she and her staff would put together SIX Party Packs on just two hours notice AND WHEN I SAY THEY CAME THROUGH IN THE CLUTCH I MEAN IT!!!! Marisol, Armondo, Miguel and the entire night crew rallied to make the trip one we wouldn't forget! I won't forget their faces as two large charter buses rolled up in front of their shop. Absolutely priceless! Our track & field team has never eaten so much food on a bus and all of it was incredible. From the tacos, to the chips, to the SIX cakes we had to split... ALL OF IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE. I'll never be able to thank the crew enough for trusting me as I made my phone call from a plane ride away and working so hard to fulfill such a large order in such a short amount of time. I look forward to future trips back to the Dallas area so I can go out of my way to once again visit this location to show them my appreciation.
My 1st time at this location but 3rd time visiting the brand. This experience was pleasant. The atmosphere was great kinda mellow/relaxing. My order was the “Spicy Tikka Chicken Taco”. I have no complaints on that option. I also ordered the “Brisket Nachos”, these were a hit but kinda skimpy on the brisket. I was expecting to have a little more brisket than toppings. Overall my visit was a good one, the service was polite and fast. I’d recommend and revisit also!

She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and her positive attitude made the whole experience so much better. You can tell she truly cares about what she does, and it shows in the quality of her service. Taco time! Great fusion tacos that makes it worth it to spend 7 per taco. And one taco and side is honestly enough. They have a variety of tacos that is really hard to pick if you're visiting. I had the briskly taco and elote corn. They are both amazing. We also ordered the blanco queso and kids chicken tenders because why not. The taco's tortilla is probably the most unique I have ever seen. It has a layer of grilled cheese. Genius. This is elevated taco for sure.
Velvet Taco on Greenville Ave is hands-down one of the best spots in Dallas for tacos and creative Mexican-inspired food! These aren’t your typical tacos—each one is packed with unique flavors that keep you coming back for more. Liz took care of us today and went above and beyond with her service—she was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Don’t miss out on the velvet cake; it’s absolutely delicious! And if you’re a fan of frozen margaritas, theirs are some of the best in town. Highly recommend Velvet Taco for anyone looking for amazing food, great drinks, and top-notch service.
I love coming to this particular location because it’s not too far away from my nail shop and the atmosphere is very calming and refreshing.
Great place went two times in two days because they have a great selection and my crew wanted to try what they didn’t get the day before. We went for a birthday and had a large group, but we’re well served in a small group as well. Pretty much tried the whole menu and all options were great. Offered something for everybody and every diet.
